It takes a village to care for and love our foster dogs until they are ready to go to their furever homes! That’s why we are so thankful and proud of our amazing volunteers that love these pups like their own until it’s time for their happily ever after. They are the glue that holds our rescue together! Every one of them gives more to rescue every day than we could ever have asked for. Supporting them supports our mission to save and help as many furry friends as possible.
Listed below are some of these pawsitively amazing people, a little about them, and a wish list of items that they could use to continue to love and support current and future foster pups.
Thank you helping us help as many pups as possible! We couldn’t do what we do without them, or YOU!

“We've been fostering with Fetch for two years. While we are normally cat people, seeing all these dogs that have been let down has really opened our hearts to them. And our home. We've had our share of mill dogs and owner surrenders, and we are especially fond of an elderly pup.”

“I foster because dogs are being rescued from terrible, sad situations all the time and the team of volunteers at Fetch do an amazing job at what they do; I knew I could help, as all my own dogs were rescues (most of them Fetch alumni) and I wanted to help Fetch by opening my home to foster dogs! I never thought I could foster dogs because I thought I’d want to adopt them all… but I do it anyway because I just know I need to help regardless of how I feel!”

“I foster dogs to give them a safe and loving environment while they wait for their forever homes. Many of the dogs I take in come from a place of fear and distrust, and it's incredibly rewarding to help them heal, learn, and thrive after difficult experiences. Fostering allows me to make a meaningful difference in their lives and support the rescue community.”

“I foster because there are thousands and thousands of helpless dogs out there who need someone to be their voice, their safety net, and their advocate. If not now, then when? If not me, then who?
I foster just about every kind of dog, but my favorites are the scared and shut down ones. I love watching them grow and blossom with love and time!”

“We decided to foster once we heard about Fetch from a coworker. We have such a love for dogs and once we heard some of their stories we couldn’t not help!”

I’m fortunate to be able to foster!! I host a variety of foster dogs & puppies from anywhere we pull: puppy mills, TX transports, shelter transfers… My heart breaks for many of the dogs we take in and so many more that desperately need help and to feel cared for. I foster because I love dogs! But I don’t have capacity to keep a whole pack of my own. I enjoy volunteering, especially somewhere I support, and can help make a difference.

“I foster because of the rewarding feeling helping dogs move onto a better life and helping families find their four legged best friend!”
Cassie
“We love dogs more than most people and found our way into the Fetch family! With our first foster never leaving, we do our best to help deserving pups find a safe, loving home where they can thrive with their furever family!”

“I've been fostering since 2019 with Fetch. I love fostering as it brings me great joy to find my foster pups the best homes. I like keeping in touch with the families and seeing all my former fosters in person or pictures. I love being part of the Fetch Foster and Rescue organization.”

“”Every dog matters.” I’ve been fostering for 5 years with Fetch Foster & Rescue, with the help of my son, Jordan. We mainly foster dogs that were used for breeding, but have also taken in transfers from shelters, surrenders, & a few dogs from Texas. It’s so rewarding to help a dog learn to trust & feel comfortable in a home setting. Adoption is a beautiful way to build a family!”

“I love fostering dog, it has been my passion and my calling for many years now, being a stepping stone for an animal to find their forever home is the most satisfying thing in the world”
